Just a quick reminder that the WMHA logo, and variations there of, are registered and legally protected under federal copyright law. Anyone who creates, purchases, or in any way provides counterfeit WMHA products is infringing on legal ownership of this logo.

The WMHA has recently been informed that the Town of Whitby Operations Committee on December 5th will be recommending another increase to the 2012-2013 ice rental fees. As another increase is expected to be approved once again by Town Council, every Whitby family will be spending more money next season to play youth sports.

There has been extensive coverage this year on the impact of concussions in our sport. Unlike the days when our generation was playing and watching hockey, much has been uncovered around the impact of head injuries over time.

It saddens me to say that a long time Whitby Coach has recently passed away. Although, many of us never knew him, it is clear from all those who contacted us to let us know, that he played a significant and improtant role in our organization. The positive influence of which is still felt today.
