The Gloria Rints Memorial (Whitby Silver Stick) Scholarship is a $1,000.00 award given annually to a Whitby Minor Hockey Association player, or players, whom exemplify the qualities of sportsmanship, leadership, and commitment to the game while maintaining an academic standing. The recipients of the 2009-10 scholarship are David Howe and Scott McRae. Congratulations !

Congratulations to our Whitby Wildcat Minor Midget players who were selected on Saturday during the 2010 OHL Priority Draft: Marcus McIvor (9th Overall), Connor Boland, Holden Cook, Ryan Smith, Emerson Verrier, Connor Armour, Brent Hambly and Troy Josephs.

This was Whitby's third tournament win of the year, including Richmond Hill and Oshawa. Whitby was also in the finals of the Fort Erie and Brantford, and semi-finalists at Burlington. The teams tournament record for the year was an amazing 25 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie. Overall, the team went 53 wins, 13 losses, and 6 ties to also win the Lakeshore League Championship. Congratulations Whitby on a Fantastic Year.

Congratulations to the Whitby Wildcat Peewee AE Hockey Team for winning the Ontario Minor Hockey Association Championship this past weekend against the Stoney Creek Warriors. The Peewee AE Team had a very successful year, winning the Jim Wilson Orillia Championship, Georgina Silverstick Regional Championship, International Silverstick Finalists, Lakeshore season Championship and capped it off with an OMHA championship!

The Whitby Bantam Silver Stick team brought home gold in the 44th annual Newmarket House League tournament over the March Break. The team played against Bolton in the first game and were victorious, 4 – 1. The second game against Georgina was a close game, with Whitby winning 2 - 1 to advance into the finals. The gold medal game against Newmarket #2 was a thriller.
