Whitby Minor Hockey Association

The purpose of proper certification is to ensure the safety of the children in our community and to provide them with the best training available.

MINIMUM BENCH STAFF REQUIREMENTS TO CERTIFY A TEAM IN HOUSE LEAGUE

Anyone wishing to go behind the bench MUST have a CIR and SpeakOut! or RIS (Respect in Sport).

In addition, all benches MUST have 1 certified Head Coach and 1 certified Trainer before OMHA will allow official rostering.

BELOW NOVICE(INITIATION/TYKE): Intro Coach (CHIP)

NOVICE: Intro Coach (CHIP)

MINOR ATOM/ATOM: Intro Coach (CHIP Minor Atom only) or NCCP Coach Stream

MINOR PEEWEE/PEEWEE: NCCP Coach Stream

MINOR BANTAM/BANTAM: NCCP Coach Stream

MINOR MIDGET/MIDGET: NCCP Coach Stream

JUVENILE: NCCP Coach Stream

TRAINERS

ALL DIVISIONS: HTCP Level 1

Trainers, the HTCP Level 1 course is available for you to complete online by clicking this link but you must submit this conversion form and relevant documentation to the OMHA after completion, otherwise the WMHA will not be able to view your completion in the HCR.
