All new registrants must register in person and provide a copy of the player’s birth certificate and proof of Whitby residency. Returning players are encouraged to register online (link on left side of this page).

Registration fees for returning players may be paid online by Visa or MasterCard. In-person registrations may pay for their registrations by Visa, MasterCard, debit, cash or certified cheque.

HL Registration and Start of Season

Open registration for Initiation (2006) through Minor Midget (1995) aged players March 24th through August 16th.

Players who register prior to August 16th will have a guaranteed spot. Midget aged players born 1991-1994 will be guaranteed a spot providing they register by September 1st.

Returning players are urged to register online. New players see “New Registrations”.

We will continue to accept registrations until August 16th, at which time we will begin wait-list players.

Players who attempt to register after a division is full will be placed on a wait-list, The Placement List, in sequence and assigned to a team on a first-come, first-served basis based on availability.  PLEASE NOTE: players registered from the Placement List will be subject to a $100 late registration fee.

The House League season begins around the 3rd weekend in September for all age divisions, with the exception of Mid-Juv players who will start toward the end of September.  PLEASE NOTE: there may be some divisions who commence in early September for player evaluations, etc.

The Placement List

New players to Whitby Minor Hockey who have missed all registration sessions can fill in the Placement List form below. You will be contacted with details around an in person registration event in early September. Unless the division is full, you will be able to register for the 2010-11 season.

Four Year Old Player Eligibility

WMHA started a four year old player program pilot project during the 2007-2008 season, which expanded the age eligibility of players by 6 months, to include 30 players whose birth date was on or before June 30th. Due to the success of this program over the past two years, we have decided to open registration to all 4-year old players (2006), commencing with the 2010-11 season.

Late Registrations

Registrations received after August 16th may experience a delay in being placed on a team, and may not receive notification by the first weekend of hockey.

If you have registered after August 16th and have not heard from a coach by the end of September please contact the office as above.

In Person Registration – New Accounts

If you have not registered with Whitby Hockey previously, you must to attend an in person registration event.

Once there, log in and get started by selecting the "Click Here To Get One" link on the Get an MSi Account section of the Registration Login Page on one of the computers at an in person registration event.

This part of the log in page is not available for at home registration.

About Online Registration

Online Registration continues to be provided by the same company. MSi also provide registration for Whitby Baseball and Whitby Ringette.

If you have registered for hockey after June 15, 2007, you used the new system. Login to register for hockey, baseball, or ringette with the same user id and password.

Midget Registration

Registration for Midget (1991-1994) aged players will remain open until September 1st at the discounted rate, thereafter the wait list procedure will also apply.

Midget players attending tryouts must be registered before the tryout. There will be no facilities to register at the rink at tryouts.
