Minor Bantam AE Wins Toyota Blue & White TournamentFriday, 27 January 2012  The boys were great!! Game one they came out with a purpose, they had a great first Period and took it to the Hamilton Phantoms right from the start. We took the first Game 4-2. Game two was against the London Bandits. Complete domination from the beginning to the end. Shutout Victory 5-0. Game three, what a battle, we played the Milton Winterhawks. |
Whitby Storm Atom Tier 2 Wins Big at Essa and Kingston TournamentsMonday, 16 January 2012  On November 26, 2010 the Whitby STORM, a Tier 2 Atom HL team from WMHA played in the ESSA Invitational tournament. The STORM showed what TEAM work is all about defeating each of their opponents that day by scores of 8-0, 8-1 and in the Championship game, 8-2. Over the Christmas Break, the STORM then “blew” into Kingston for the Causeway Classic on December 29/30, 2011. In a “points” formatted tournament, the STORM won 4 games, tied 1 and outscored the opposition 21-4 while also recording 2 shutouts in the 5 games ... |
Peewee A (Blue) Wildcats Win Brampton Silver Stick QualifierWednesday, 11 January 2012  The Whitby Wildcats Peewee A Blue Team recently won their Regional Silver Stick Qualifier in Brampton, Ontario. They won all their round robin games beating Oakville Rangers 3-0, Richmond Hill Stars 7-2, and Bradford Bulldogs 2-1. The semi final game was against Georgetown Raiders 3-2. With the team winning the final game against Woolrich Wildcats 4-3. |
Midget-Juvenile Team 17 Wins Oshawa NASC Hockey TournamentTuesday, 10 January 2012  Giving up only 2 goals over 4 games Whitby Midget Juvenile Team 17 Anaheim won the Oshawa NASC Hockey tournament over Christmas. Great team effort ! |
Minor Bantam Shoeless Joe's Take Silver in Select TournamentMonday, 9 January 2012  Over the holidays, Minor Bantam Shoeless Joe's (Tier 2 Team 1), competed in the Faustina Roster Select Tournament. In the first game against Oakville, the game was tied 2 - 2 with less than a minute left in the game. Shoeless Joe's capitalized on a turnover at Oakville's blue line, burying the winning goal resulting in a 3-2 victory. |

The UOIT Ridgebacks would like to invite all WMHA players to one of their remaining home games on Friday, January 27, 2012 - for FREE. All kids would be free and parents/family of WMHA members would also get tickets for just $3. The Ridgebacks will face the Laurier Golden Hawks at Campus Ice Centre in Oshawa.
Dear Members, we have just posted notice for next season's Representative Hockey Coach applications. To support the development and enjoyment of the players, one important factor in coach selection are the parent and player evaluations. You need to be confident that these evaluations are kept confidential and only the coach selection committee has access to them. Once the selections have been completed, they are destroyed.
