Wildcats Minor Atom A Wins Mississauga TournamentMonday, 12 April 2010  This was Whitby's third tournament win of the year, including Richmond Hill and Oshawa. Whitby was also in the finals of the Fort Erie and Brantford, and semi-finalists at Burlington. The teams tournament record for the year was an amazing 25 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie. Whitby Bantam Silver Stick Wins Newmarket TournamentThursday, 25 March 2010  The Whitby Bantam Silver Stick team brought home gold in the 44th annual Newmarket House League tournament over the March Break. The team played against Bolton in the first game and were victorious, 4 – 1. The second game against Georgina was a close game, with Whitby winning 2 - 1 to advance into the finals. The gold medal game against Newmarket #2 was a thriller. |
Whitby will be hosting a Play It Cool (PIC) Community Camp Day on September 10th and 11th, 2010. Play It Cool™ is an injury prevention program of the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, aimed at reducing concussions and spinal cord Injuries in hockey. The program equips minor hockey players with the knowledge and skills necessary to increase their safety on the ice and to enhance their abilities as players.
